Alix, a recent PhD graduate from the Rossiter Soft Robotics Group at the University of Bristol, has transitioned into the role of a senior engineer at the National Robotarium in Edinburgh. His expertise lies in advancing soft robotic technologies tailored for extreme environments, with a keen emphasis on integrating sustainable methodologies into his work. Notable achievements in Alix's career include designing an innovative soft manipulator for Shell's deep-sea pipeline monitoring and crafting soft robotic avatars for the Neon dance company, showcased during a week-long exhibition at the Setouchi Triennale Arts Festival in Japan in 2022.
