Join us for a seminar on Sustainable Robotics with Visiting BrIAS Fellow, Prof. Hiroki Ishizuka. This Seminar will be livestreamed on our Youtube channel @BrIAStalks
Title: Toward the Realization of Sensing Mimicking Skin-Nerve Models
Abstract
Tactile devices, tactile neural systems, and mechanical elements have been studied to fully harness the potential of tactile senses. In this presentation, topics explored collaboratively by Prof. Ishizuka and his colleagues will be explained. Additionally, issues deemed essential for the development of improved tactile systems will be discussed with the audience.
Hiroki Ishizuka received a Ph.D. from Keio University, Kanagawa, Japan. He currently works at Osaka University, Osaka, Japan. His research interests include haptics and soft robotics.
