Stephen Bailey

Stephen Bailey is a full professor in the Department of Physical Therapy Education in the School of Health Sciences at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina. Professor Bailey served as the Chair of Elon’s Institutional Review Board for the Protection of Human Subjects in Research from 2009-2023. He currently serves as the Chair of the School of Health Science’s Task Force which is developing a service relationship with a local community center working with Latinx and African-American communities. Professor Bailey has published more that 40 papers improving physical therapy practice. He continues his work examining the role of central fatigue during exercise and is currently pursuing a research agenda designed to examine the impact of the sensory stimulus of various oral supplements on motor function.
