Elias is currently a F.W.O. Senior Post-doctoral researcher at the artificial intelligence research group at the Vrije Universiteit in Brussels, where he also received his PhD from. Throughout his PhD, he investigated how uncertainty and collective risk affect human decision making, both in human-human and human-artificial agent interactions. This very interdisciplinary research comprises behavioral economic experiments, data analysis and modeling. Currently, Elias is researching how delegation of human actions and rules to artificial autonomous systems impact social dynamics.
