Prof. Isaac Owusu-Mensah is the Head of Department of Political Science, University of Ghana. He previously served as the Director of Research at the Office of the President (2021-2025).
He previously worked with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung for 15 years as the Senior Programme Manager, where he contributed to democratic development through management of projects that contributed to the democratic consolidation in Ghana.
His research is focused on democracy and elections. He has written extensively on various aspect of democracy including the role of traditional authorities and political institutions such as Electoral Commission, political parties, local authorities and many more. He has served as Guest Lecturer to universities including Humboldt-Univeristat zu Berlin, University of Auckland and University of Wakaito.
